Our buddies at Bailey Rd School

On Wednesday 5th October 10 children from Kids with aView travelled to
visit the Year 8's in Room 13 at Bailey Road School in Mt Wellington.
Room 8 are our blogging buddies.  Even though they are much older than us they enjoy
visiting our blog and leaving us some awesomely written comments.
The Room 3 children weren't even feeling nervous
about finally meeting their blogging buddies they were just very excited!

WHAT AN AWESOME MORNING WE HAD!

WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO MAKE AUTHENTIC CONNECTIONS.

The Room 13 buddies were amazing so welcoming, helpful and patient.
We all looked at each others blogs, made some comments and got to know each other.
The interaction were wonderful moments to watch.
We were also introduced to some more new buddies - Room 2 a Year 1 class.
Now we had 3 new buddies each!
At morning teatime all the children shared a yummy morning tea and went
off to play on the playground.
After morning tea the Bailey Road buddies showed us around their
art exhibition - it was artrageous!
There are so many talented children at Bailey Road.

Thank you so much for our enjoyable visit.

Kids with a View TV - Honey Bee News

What's your view?
We would love to hear your comments on this.

We played "Kids with a View TV' video clip before we danced -
Gina and Aum did a fantastic job as news reporters!
Thanks Chanelle for helping with the cue board!

Well done everyone, what an amazing class you are!
Mrs Laburn was so proud of every one of you,
you danced up on the stage with such enthusiasm and pride.
I am sure everyone took note of the message that 'Bees Need Our Help!'

Here we are in the 'Bee Hive'.
Our lead dancers were Rohan and Sienna.
Can you see the beekeepers - Benny and Orlando?
The beautiful flowers were, Anya, Tiffanny, Mallika, Neeve and Zana.
Our drone and worker bees were Jack, Aum, Kairyn, Krishant, Aryaan, Alvin, Dykie,
Maia, Joshua, Gina, Alex, Jacey, Bradie, and Kevin.

The video clip of our dance is still to come ........

I like the maze because it is fun and I like walking around in the maze and I wanted to get to the middle. Thank you for making the maze. From Dykie

Thank you for building the sandpit and the maze. I really like it because the maze is very long and I got to the middle before someone else got to the middle. The sandpit is awesome! From Aum

Thank you for helping in the secret garden. I liked the maze and the sandpit most of all. From Krishant

I see... I think.... I wonder....

I see a caterpillar spinning a cocoon around him. He will turn into a butterfly that drinks nectar. I think the caterpillar is going to be a butterfly soon. The caterpillar grows wings inside the cocoon. I wonder how the butterfly flies to the flower to have a drink? By Krishant

I see a caterpillar change into a chrysalis. A chrysalis turns into a butterfly. I think the caterpillar will turn into a beautiful butterfly. I wonder why he is yellow, black and white? By Tiffanny

I see a caterpillar hanging onto a branch. I can see the caterpillar turning into a cocoon and I see some green things on the chrysalis. I think the caterpillar is ready to almost pop out of the chrysalis. I wonder how butterflies drink nectar from flowers? By Benny

I see the caterpillar spinning a chrysalis. I think it's going to be slow. I wonder when it's going to come out? By Rohan

I see the caterpillar turning into a J shape. I think the caterpillar comes out after two weeks. I wonder how the caterpillar comes out of the chrysalis? By Gina
